The Subconscious Mind Never Forgets

Today we would like to focus your attention on the topic of memory; more specifically we would like to discuss how you can access your subconscious mind and its limitless capacity to retain information. This message is specifically for those who are having trouble remembering, as well as for those who are interested in learning about yet another ability of your conscious and subconscious mind.

Why is it that some people have wonderful memories while others seem to forget just about everything? You see the human memory is a funny thing. In actuality everyone has a flawless memory. How can this be? All information which you consciously encounter is instantly downloaded into the subconscious mind however you can only access this “memory” if your conscious mind allows you to do so. So why do some people forget information while others remember so much? The only difference is their beliefs about their “memory” and the information their beliefs allow to be accessed.

We will use a simple computer analogy to further explain our message. Imagine your subconscious mind accurately recorded every piece of information that you have ever learned, read, and heard however it is protected by a “password”. If you do not enter the correct password, then you will be denied access to the information. Your beliefs are the “password” that will allow you to gain access to all the information you have ever learned. The beliefs also are responsible for determining what you will “store” in your conscious mind and what you will “store” in your subconscious mind.

All of the information that you have ever covered is contained within your subconscious mind. The subconscious mind never forgets anything. We want you to know that your mind has retained every single fact, explanation, and topic that you have ever encountered.

Six Ways to Attract Bad Luck

By Steve Gillman
Excerpt from Secrets of Lucky People

There are two ways to improve the good luck / bad luck ratio in your life. One is to take steps to do those things that lead to more good luck. The other is to stop doing the things that cause bad luck. This lesson is about the latter. It is an examination of the actions, habits and thinking of unlucky people, so that you can learn what to avoid.

The last chapter covered a couple of the worst bad habits that unlucky people have. Those are blaming and making excuses. Here are some more to watch out for.

How To Command Your Superconscious Mind

By Peter Kelder
Author of Ancient Secrets of the Fountain of Youth

“There is a slight difference between the words mantra and mantram. Both are taken from a Sanskrit word meaning instrument of thought. The difference is this: a mantram is a vocalized instrument of thought, while a mantra is silent.”

Whether you realize it or not, you create and shape your life with your thoughts. All things that become part of your physical reality are first created in the mind from the raw material called thought. Because it is an instrument of thought, a mantram is a tool which you can use to help shape your life as you wish it to be.

Now, in order to use mantrams to your advantage, you need to first understand the mind and how it works. Nowadays, the term subconscious mind is one that’s frequently heard but seldom understood. Instead of subconsciousness, the lamas use a word that could be translated as superconsciousness — consciousness of a higher order. The job of the superconscious mind is to take thought, which is pure energy, and give it physical shape in the material world.

Whole books could be written on the subject, but just now the important thing for you to remember is this: your superconscious mind is a willing and eager servant whom you command by way of your thought patterns.

When you think a thought, you issue a command. Your servant obeys by manifesting the thought in the physical world where it becomes the things and events in your life. Thus, physical reality is a mirror of your thought patterns. Change your thought patterns, and you change the reflection in the mirror. In other words, you change your life.

Depression can be contagious, study claims

The idea that your mood is affected by those you spend time with is probably not news to you.

But what if we told you that something as serious as depression — a possible chemical imbalance in one’s brain that can immobilize some — can be triggered by being around others who exhibit depressive behaviours.

A recent study by psychological scientists Gerald Haeffel and Jennifer Hames from the University of Notre Dame suggests that university students who live together can pass on their depression, through a mental process known as “cognitive vulnerability.”

“Our study demonstrates that cognitive vulnerability has the potential to wax and wane over time depending on the social context,” the researchers write in their paper.

Cognitive vulnerability — a term used to describe a particular world view where people assume stressful life events are out of their control and occur because of their own deficiency — is a significant risk factor for depression, the researchers say. Experiencing cognitive vulnerability makes individuals more likely to experience a depressive episode in the future, even if they have never had a depressive episode before.
The researchers hypothesized that cognitive vulnerability might be “contagious” during major life transitions, when our social environments are in flux.

To test their idea, they followed 103 randomly assigned roommate pairs, all of whom were in their first year of university.

“Freshmen are an ideal sample for testing the hypotheses because they are experiencing a major life transition that involves a significant change to their social environment, are at the peak age for developing depression and can be randomly assigned to a roommate,” the researchers write.

The participants completed an online questionnaire that measured cognitive vulnerability and depressive symptoms at the one-, three- and six-month mark. They also recorded any stressful life events at the three- and six-month mark.

The results reveal that those who had a roommate with high levels of cognitive vulnerability were likely to “catch” their roommate’s cognitive style and also develop higher levels of cognitive vulnerability. The effects were evident at both the three-month and six-month mark.

“Our findings suggest that it may be possible to use an individual’s social environment as part of the intervention process [to treat depression],” the researchers write.

Diet and Exercise are Useless Without Mind Power

By Tom Venuto, Author of Burn the Fat, Feed the Muscle

Motivational speaker Jim Rohn once said, “I find it fascinating that most people plan their vacations with better care than they plan their lives. Perhaps it’s because escape is easier than change.”

Success psychologists say that 95% – 97% of the people in the world do NOT have written goals and fail, while 3-5% have written goals and succeed.

If these statistics are correct, then Mr Rohn’s observation really IS quite fascinating isn’t it?

Unfortunately for most people, the odds for success are actually even lower, because out of the few people who do set goals, most don’t take goal setting seriously, they don’t do it scientifically and they only do it once a year.

Goal setting is so important, that I always teach goal setting and mind dynamics first, and only THEN, do I teach nutrition and training second.

It doesn’t matter how much you know about nutrition or exercise. Until specialized fitness knowledge is linked with goals and directions, the knowledge is useless and you won’t accomplish very much or keep the changes long term.

I Am Energy. I Am Infinite. I Am Money.

By Greg Habstritt / Source: SimpleWealth.com

Most people think they know me.

They don’t.

I am not what most people think I am. I am not the paper in your wallet, or the coins that jingle in your purse. I am not quietly sitting in your bank account, hoping to be used one day.

You cannot see me, feel me or touch me.

I am an idea. I am energy.

I’m neither good nor evil. I am only what you decide that I am, and I fulfill the role that you create for me.

I don’t care how smart you are, where you live, what you do, or where you come from.

All I care about is your energy.

Your energy decides what thoughts you have, and therefore your thoughts will determine the relationship you have with me.

I have very simple needs, and simple rules.

I am infinite.

I have no limits, except for those you place on me with your mind. There is no limit to the energy in the world, and because I am simply energy, I cannot be restricted or controlled.

I crave abundance.

I am attracted to those who think without restrictions, who like to think big. When you believe there is enough of me to go around, I am naturally magnetized by that thinking.

I despise scarcity.

Because there is no limit to me, I avoid those who think from a win/lose or scarcity perspective. Those who believe I am in short supply, or difficult to receive, will find that very reality, because I choose to avoid those who think small.

I love value.

What magnetizes me most is the creation of value in the universe. I move to places where value is created, because creation is energy. If you wish to attract me into your life, focus on creating value for others, and I will appear.

I avoid entitlement and complacency.

No one ‘deserves’ to have me, and I am always moving to the place I am most respected and where value is created. It has nothing to do with ‘fair’. Those who take me for granted or become complacent with my energy will find me gone.

I only have one job, and that is to serve you.

It is a matter of energy and value creation. My purpose is simply to move to where I am attracted most, and where I can grow.

My one goal is to replicate myself.

Because there is no limit to energy, my purpose is to reproduce and grow, in order
to bring more energy to the universe. I am created and replicated through value creation. I am an energy of evolution.

The message for you should be clear. Those who create value for others in the world will find me in their lives.

I am whatever you believe me to be.

So what you believe about me can make you miserable, or what you believe can
enable you to perform miracles.

I’m neither positive, nor negative.

I am what you decide I am.

If you fear me in any way, I can crush your ability to survive. If you get to know me, I can make your life flourish and your dreams come alive.

I can be your master, or I can be your servant.

I am only what you make me.

So, the relationship we have together will be determined by you.

Isn’t it time we got to know each other better?
