Happiness Is Free

Author Unknown / Source: Delusion Damage

There is a time for everything, and there’s a time to move on. I have had a great year with all of you, and writing a blog has been an incredibly educational experience for me. I warmly recommend it to each and every one of you. The teaching and communication skills I’ve developed doing this will enhance the quality of my days for the entire remainder of my life. Who knows, maybe one day they’ll make me millions. Maybe not.

As the legacy of a youth spent immersed in a hustler’s ambition, I still have a weakness for money, so if someone offered me a book deal or linked a million people to my website, I probably couldn’t resist the temptation to keep writing, but barring that, I feel like I’m ready to leave this behind and turn my eyes toward a future of comfortable obscurity…

I don’t really care that much whether people listen to me. I used to think, once upon a time as a young lad, that I’d make a name for myself, do something grand and impressive, change the world and all that stuff. I don’t care about that anymore. Now, I’d rather not be famous. The more I’ve learned, the more I’ve come to lean toward the conclusion that the best thing in the world is for the world to leave you alone.

There is ultimately nothing to accomplish in life. You don’t need to be rich or well-liked or of prestigious social standing. You don’t need much of anything to be happy. You just need to focus on being happy, because you can only do one thing at a time in life.

If you try to do more than that, nothing gets done because your intentions conflict with each other, one hand pushes against the other. You must choose. Career or family, money or love, success or happiness… you cannot have it all. You can really only have one thing in life, and you’d better choose carefully.

You can choose money, spend all your days in gradually expanding offices and finally die of a heart attack in a board meeting while your gold-plated Ferrari sits quietly in the garage of your fifty-room mansion in the most exclusive neighborhood in the state.

You can choose family, be buried in a 2-for-1 bargain plot with your children weeping over your headstone and be as forgotten as a dead squirrel in the forest in a matter of generations.

You can choose anything you want in life and probably get it, but you can only completely achieve one thing. If you split your priorities, you will achieve split results as well. You can have a little bit of money, a little bit of prestige, a little bit of family and a little bit of everything else, but none of them will be complete for you. If you want 100% success with anything, that thing must comprise 100% of your priorities. Each goal you set for yourself takes away from all your other goals, because circumstances will always force you to further one at the expense of another and to choose between them every day.

My advice to you is to focus on happiness, on enjoying life. You probably don’t want to hear this, but this means you will not have money or status or anything else. Conversely, focusing on money, status or anything else means you will not achieve happiness. Happiness is not success. Happiness is the opposite of conventional success.

It’s not having things, it’s ceasing to want things. When you stop caring about everything that could be and focus completely on enjoying what is, you are happy.

You are unhappy when you think your life isn’t the way it should be, that you need to change X and Y and then your life can really begin. It doesn’t work like that, though. This is your life,  RIGHT NOW, THIS IS IT! Are you happy?

That’s the truth right there, but I don’t suspect that many even of the readers of this blog want the truth. I’ve noticed with the blog that the more truthfully I write, the less people like it, and the more I write what people want to hear, the more they like it. That’s why you can’t build a business on the truth. The truth is that the price of happiness is everything else, but in the commercial version the price of happiness is whatever you can comfortably afford. Three easy installments of $39.95, ten minutes a day of meditation exercises, a few months of approaching girls in the street. Something like that. Something that doesn’t require you to give up any of the things you really want.

Because people mostly do not want happiness. They want something else, something like money or success or status or respect, a beautiful wife or a wikipedia entry that says they were important. They want other people to think they are happy more than they really want to be happy. When you want to be happy even if it means that everyone you’ve ever loved and everyone you’re ever going to meet will think you’re a pathetic loser, that’s when you’re ready to be happy. Not before.

Being happy is the simplest thing in the world. Just do something that completely occupies your attention.

This is why people do extreme sports – the danger requires their complete attention so there is room for nothing else in their brain, and their internal monologue about everything that they think is wrong in their life quiets down. You don’t need to risk death, though. Watch a really good TV show or play a video game, something that really draws you in. Once you get better at giving your complete attention to the immediate present moment, you can do anything. Cook dinner, go for a walk in the park, sit still and do nothing. As long as you can stay out of your head and out of the range of that internal voice that nags about changes it wants made, you’ll stay happy. Happiness is your natural default state. Do you think lions lying in the sun berate themselves over what an ex-girlfriend said about them on Facebook?

That’s the secret to happiness right there. It doesn’t seem that impressive since I didn’t stretch it out to 180 pages with exciting Sanskrit words and made-up spiritual-sounding terms thrown in and charge 29 bucks for it. But it is the truth.

I’ve said what I wanted to say on this blog and I could probably have said it a lot quicker. What does the future hold for me? I might just go and do something completely normal and boring. I think I might be done with this teaching thing. I’ve gotten so used to writing that I wonder if I can quit. Maybe I’ll post something occasionally just for fun. I’ve still got something planned that I didn’t have time to do yet that isn’t exactly writing but it’s sort of related to the topics of this blog.
Aside from that, I guess we’ll see about the future when we get there.

No one can know the future, and don’t ever let anyone convince you they can. Those people on TV and on the internet trying to tell you what “will happen” in the next ten or twenty years are full of shit. All of them. Especially the experts.

Thinking that a stock market expert can go on TV and say something about the future of the stock market, or that a military expert can know about the future of the military, is like going back to 1999 and asking an Iraq expert what the next decade would look like for Iraq, or going back to 1935 and asking a Poland expert what the next ten years will look like for Poland. The problem with anybody who tries to predict anything is that they fail to understand that the specialty area that they think they know about is always being affected by a million external factors they know nothing about.

Any scientific endeavor to connect what you think is a cause to what you think is an effect is already at least 50% voodoo anyway, and trying to predict the future is like voodoo squared, it’s a whole different level of inaccuracy.

A few years ago they were all predicting global shifts of power decades into the future based on which countries had exploitable oil resources and which didn’t, and then somebody invented hydrofracking and now lots of previously unreachable oil is suddenly exploitable and all those pages of projections aren’t even good for toilet paper.

Don’t listen to anybody about the future who isn’t an expert on everything and all of the ways in which everything affects everything else.

That is, don’t listen to anybody.

How to Protect Yourself From Negativity

You have taken it upon yourself to grow as a human being. Inevitably you will face resistance, or the appearance of resistance, in the form of negative people and negative self-talk from your mind.

YOU MUST PROTECT YOURSELF FROM NEGATIVITY!

Avoid negative people and situations. Do not allow anyone the opportunity to douse their negative energy on you as you try to evolve. It is not necessary to explain to anybody where your new mental attitude is coming from, or where the cash is flowing from, unless they are completely supportive and genuinely interested.

Do not argue or defend your new ideas to anyone! Ignore them, and get away from anybody who cannot understand the psychological principles you are learning in this program. This is the easy part.

You must also banish the negative self-talk that incessantly occurs in your mind. Replace all negativity, criticism and self-doubt with an honest belief in your ability to change anything in your life.

You do not have to pretend that you do not have problems, or that things do not always go smoothly, but you must realize that you have the ability to solve any of your problems, and the potential to attain all of your goals. This is not blind hope, but literal fact.

The easiest way to banish negativity from your life is to have an optimistic view towards the future. Perhaps your past has been filled with negativity and pain, but there is no reason to drag this pain with you as you grow older. You have the power to make you life a positive expression of your spirit.

Realize that you have the power to change anything in your life with which you are unsatisfied. This knowledge will give you the strength to go beyond the negativity we are all surrounded by. Also, with positivity and optimism, it is much easier to turn your problems into opportunities for growth.

“Without doubt, the most common weakness of all human beings is the habit of leaving their minds open to the negative influence of other people.” — Napoleon Hill

How to Jump Into Your Parallel Lives

In 2005, then 78-year old Burt Goldman approached us about his new project, Quantum Jumping. Burt claimed that he developed a program that teaches people how to tap into alternative realities to gain wisdom, ideas and insights to help them achieve their goals.

The idea seemed too far-fetched and we quickly dismissed it. But, we were intrigued. After all Burt is one of the most respected personal growth teachers in the United States. He had studied for years under the late Paramahansa Yogananda and Jose Silva and became the #1 instructor in the Silva Method organization. He chaired the Mind Science congress in Athens in front of 2000 people his clients have included celebrities and even middle eastern royalty.

But despite all this, his Quantum Jumping idea seemed so ‘out there’, that we thought it would be too risky to publish him.

Then again in 2008 Burt came back to us. The 81-year old ‘monk’ had changed. In a few short years he had developed a thriving online meditation company; he had learned photography and gotten his art into galleries around the world; and he even recorded an album (and the guy had JUST turned 81)!

It was then we finally decided to give Quantum Jumping a chance. Even if it was hard to believe, the idea of an 81-year old man doing SO MUCH in such a short span of time intrigued us and we wanted to know more. So how did he do it?

Burt credited it all to Quantum Jumping and he explains what it’s all about below.

What Is Quantum Jumping?

Quantum Jumping is the process of “jumping” into parallel dimensions, and gaining creativity, knowledge, wisdom and inspiration from alternate versions of yourself.

…Are you still with me? Did that sound crazy? It did to me at first – and that’s precisely why I’ve been holding on to it until the right time, a time when someone like you would would intuitively know that right now is the time to open your mind to it.

And that time is now. Why? Because science is starting to talk about the idea of multiple universes. And experiments in Universities like Edinburgh, Duke and Princeton are starting to show that the idea of human thought transference is real.

But just as important as the acknowledgement of experts is what I’ve seen and experienced for myself. After sharing Quantum Jumping with selected students in my seminars, I’ve seen them achieve incredible results. Stories of incredible coincidences, stories of rags to riches, the kind of stories you’d usually only find in those feel good Hollywood blockbusters.

Plus even ideas like Yoga, Meditation, Reiki, EFT, Auras and ESP were once thought off as being “weird”. Now they are studied in Universities and have huge followings.

And now it’s time for you to have your own story – which is why I’ve compiled a sample 6-module Quantum Jumping Introduction Course on this site. Feel free to browse and test it out so you can experience Burt’s creation.

But first, let me explain the theory…

The Theory of Multiple Universes and The InterConnected Mind

Do alternate versions of yourself exist in multiple Universes? Thats the premise of Quantum Jumping.

Famous scientist like Stephen Hawking, Michio Kaku and Neil Turok, all of whom are responsible for unbelievable breakthroughs in the field of quantum physics have suggested the existence of multiple universes.

But how is an alternate universe created? Well scientist theorize that every major decision we make in life causes a “split” in reality and creates two alternate Universes. Yes sorta like that movie “Sliding Doors” when the character played by Gwyneth Paltrow decides not to hop on a subway train. On that train is the man who will ultimately become her husband. That decision causes a split in her Universe and the movie goes on to show two versions of Paltrow’s character.

One is the version that took the train and met the husband. The other skips the train and goes on to marry someone else. Paltrow’s character exists in 2 universes.

Now think about your life. Think about all the major decisions you’ve made that led to who you are today. Now here’s the BIG QUESTION.

What if all these decisions caused a split each time you made them. Then this means that multiple adult versions of yourself exist in multiple universes.

In one you could be unbelievably wealthy. In another you could broke. In yet another you could be an athlete. And in another a school teacher. Or a singer. Or a pop star, homeless person, inventor, lover and pretty much anything you can imagine.

Parallel Minds in Parallel Universes

Burt Goldman, who has been a student of mysticism and the human mind for 59 years, suggests this…

If we exist in multiple universes. And if we’re all part of God and God is everywhere, then we should be connected to our own selves in these multiple Universes in the same way we are connected to all life.

What then – if we could tap into these alternate lives and draw the inspiration and ideas we need to MAKE OUR PRESENT lives richer, healthier, sexier and better?

Want to grow a business? What ideas would you gain if you could tap into that version of yourself that is a successful entrepreneur in an alternate Universe.

Looking for health? What advice would you get if you could tap into the version of yourself that is a healthy athlete in another dimension?

Looking to improve a relationship? What guidance can you get from tapping into the essence of yourself in a universe where you are in a glorious relationship with someone you truly love.

As You Can Imagine, The Idea Seems Plausible. But IS IT POSSIBLE?

First let me ask you a question? Do You Wake Up Every Morning Feeling 100% Fulfilled?

Let’s not skirt the issue here. Do you wake up every morning knowing – with every fiber of your soul – that you’re enjoying the most creative life you can make for yourself?

* Do you love your work?
* Do you spend enough time with the family?
* Are you earning enough?
* Are you putting your creativity potential to full use?
* Are you as healthy as you should be?
* Are you truly happy?

99% Of People Would Say ‘No’

It’s no surprise really. We’ve all got issues in our lives that need fixing, whether they’re professional, personal or health-related.

Issues that we just can’t seem to iron out, no matter where, how or who we look too. In fact, sometimes we’ve searched so much for the answer that we begin to wonder whether it really exists anywhere in this universe!

Here’s the thing – sometimes, it doesn’t.

What if the answers lie in a different universe. And what if there is a way to tap into this alternate plane to source the answers – just like how answers sometimes come in dreams.

Proponents Claim that Quantum Jumping has helped them…

Unleash the Magic Power of Your Goals

Excerpt from  How To Program Your Mind For Wealth

THERE IS NOTHING IN THE WORLD AS POWERFUL AS CLEARLY DEFINED GOALS!

Whatever you honestly believe about the world, your subconscious mind will draw to you in your reality. As simplistic as this sounds, it is true. Believe that you are poor, and you will experience lack; believe that you are blessed with prosperity, and abundance will magically flow to you.

Skeptical? You should be. But before you dismiss these truths, give it a shot, for you will be honestly shocked by the results. There are simple, definite steps to follow in order to convince your mind to manifest your desires.

1. Decide precisely what you want.

The more specific you are, the easier it is for your subconscious mind to serve up what you desire. If, for example, you want a new job, decide exactly what you want to be doing, how much you will earn, and where you will work. Of course, you will always leave the details open to change, but this exercise convinces your subsconscious that you are at least serious about your desires.

2. Write down your goal.

The act of writing down your goal serves to clarify exactly what you want. It has been proven time and time again that people with written goals are far more successful in reaching them.

3. Repeat this goal to yourself several times throughout the day.

Create a short statement of your goal which you can imprint onto your mind whenever you get the chance. Simply begin with the phrase “I am now attracting…” and add your goal to the end. Or try “I am blessed with…” and add whatever you desire. You don’t even have to believe this will work. Simply repeat it to yourself whenever you have a spare moment and wait for the magic to begin.

The Secret of Perfect Living

By Chris Cains, Creator of the Miracle Mind Method

Before I started my online business I was buying and selling used books on eBay starting about 1996.

In 1999 I bought an entire library of books from an estate auction in upstate New York. The owner had passed away, the kids knew nothing about books and decided to sell the entire collection. I previewed the collection ahead of time and I could tell that the gentleman who passed away must have spent years collecting these books. They were in wonderful condition and some of them very rare.

There were about 2,200 books in this library. I bid $1,000 for the entire collection. Amazingly I won the bid. I took 4 books from the collection, put them up for sale in separate auctions on eBay and made my $1,000 investment back within 7 days. Each book sold for between $200 and $400. Yes, they were very rare books. That means I had about 2,196 left to sell but the good news was that every single sale was now pure profit having already made my investment back!

Fast forward again to the second year I started my business. As I mentioned my back was against a wall and I need to make some changes fast.

One day I was feeling pretty low because I was not making any money. I remembered that I still had a lot of the books I had picked up from the estate auction several years earlier. I went to my garage, where the books were stored, and starting going through them to see which one’s I could sell for the most money.

The Secret of Perfect Living

Well in this collection, which I didn’t even remember being there, was a book called The Secret of Perfect Living.

In the book, parapsychologist, James T. Mangan describes how he discovered that if a person constantly repeats a certain word constantly, with belief and emotion, you could bring the object of your desire into reality.

He calls these “switchwords” because he says, they are like flipping on a switch to bring these into reality! [Also read: The Magic Power of Switchwords]

I related earlier that after 2 years of trying to start my own business I was deeply in debt and needed to make money quickly.

I picked up The Secret of Perfect Living and read it. I actually didn’t even read the entire book – only the part about what to do if you need more money! I was so desperate to get something started I didn’t bother to read anything else- that’s the truth! Now, the parts I did read made a deep impression on me in a way
that I’m sure the Russian Pilgrim must have felt when he heard the words, “Pray constantly”.

This is the absolute truth: I cannot account for any other thing that I may have done to change the way I thought except for one thing: I constantly repeated the switchword “Find” day and night, silently and out loud for several days. “Find” is the switchword to use if you want more money, according to Mr. Magnan.

On or about the 3rd day after repeating “Find” almost non-stop, I had an idea that catapulted my business from doing $1,000 a month or less to $10,000 the first month I put the idea into action!
