The U.S. Government banned them on TV and radio in 1974. They were once famously used to boost sales of popcorn by almost 60%. And today, they’re the subject of numerous Derren Brown-style “mind” shows airing throughout the globe.
I’m talking, of course, about subliminal messages.
However, despite all the media hype, subliminal messages aren’t just used by advertising moguls trying to get us to buy another can of coke. They can also be employed to make serious and lasting change in our own lives.
In this short article, I’m going to share a method you can use to get subliminal messages working for you—starting tonight!
But how? There are two primary ways you can actually “send” subliminal messages. Visually, such as with the popular Subliminal Power 2.0 software tool. Or, less effectively, using sound, with the subliminal CDs you can buy from most bookstores.
Yet if your budget is low, there’s an even cheaper way to begin putting the power of subliminal messaging to work for you!
One rainy afternoon an inspired 15-year old boy named John Goddard sat down at his kitchen table in Los Angeles and wrote three words at the top of a yellow pad, “My Life List.” Under that heading he wrote down 127 goals.
These were not simple or easy goals. They included climbing the world’s major mountains, exploring from source to mouth the longest rivers of the world, piloting the world’s fastest aircraft, running a mile in five minutes and reading the entire Encyclopedia Britannica.
Now, a generation later, he has accomplished 109 of these quests, and has logged an impressive list of records in achieving them.
Is humanity getting smarter or dumber with time? The answer may be both.
While IQ scores are rising at a remarkable rate, humans’ underlying genetic potential for smarts could be on the decline, a new study suggests. The research found that by one measure of intelligence, the Victorians had modern folk beat.
The findings aren’t without controversy — particularly whether or not the measurements used really reveal intelligence. Still, the study highlights the trouble with measuring intelligence over time: Smarts aren’t defined as just one thing. What makes a person clever on the African Savannah could be nearly useless in the financial centers of Hong Kong.
“It’s not simply that intelligence is going down or going up,” said Michael Woodley, a psychologist at Umea University in Sweden who led the new research. “Different parts of intelligence could be changing in lots of different ways.”
They are eerie sensations, more common than one might think: A man describes feeling a shadowy figure standing behind him, then turning around to find no one there. A woman feels herself leaving her body and floating in space, looking down on her corporeal self.
Such experiences are often attributed by those who have them to paranormal forces.
But, according to recent work by neuroscientists, delivering mild electric current to specific spots in the brain can induce them. In one woman, for example, a zap to a brain region called the angular gyrus resulted in a sensation that she was hanging from the ceiling, looking down at her body.
In another woman, electrical current delivered to the angular gyrus produced an uncanny feeling that someone was behind her, intent on interfering with her actions.

Today we would like to focus your attention on the topic of memory; more specifically we would like to discuss how you can access your subconscious mind and its limitless capacity to retain information. This message is specifically for those who are having trouble remembering, as well as for those who are interested in learning about yet another ability of your conscious and subconscious mind.
Why is it that some people have wonderful memories while others seem to forget just about everything? You see the human memory is a funny thing. In actuality everyone has a flawless memory. How can this be? All information which you consciously encounter is instantly downloaded into the subconscious mind however you can only access this “memory” if your conscious mind allows you to do so. So why do some people forget information while others remember so much? The only difference is their beliefs about their “memory” and the information their beliefs allow to be accessed.
We will use a simple computer analogy to further explain our message. Imagine your subconscious mind accurately recorded every piece of information that you have ever learned, read, and heard however it is protected by a “password”. If you do not enter the correct password, then you will be denied access to the information. Your beliefs are the “password” that will allow you to gain access to all the information you have ever learned. The beliefs also are responsible for determining what you will “store” in your conscious mind and what you will “store” in your subconscious mind.
All of the information that you have ever covered is contained within your subconscious mind. The subconscious mind never forgets anything. We want you to know that your mind has retained every single fact, explanation, and topic that you have ever encountered.
